Greece: Free admission days to archaeological sites and museums

If you’re planning a trip to Greece, you’ll be pleased to know that there are certain days when you can visit the country’s archaeological sites and museums for free. These special days provide a fantastic opportunity to explore Greece’s rich cultural heritage without breaking the bank.

Some of the most popular sites that offer free admission include the Acropolis and its surrounding monuments, the Ancient Agora, the Roman Agora, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus in Athens. Additionally, visitors can enjoy free entry to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion in Crete, and the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
