The wines of Tuscany do not need special introductions since most of them are known for ages worldwide. And Tuscany is a famous wine region with one of the longest lists of excellent wines.

Our favourite wines of Tuscany are a few and we are sure you know them but we thought that we ought to honour them with a mention in our blog.

Brunello di Montalcino
Ruby red dry warm wine with excellent flavour, extremely fresh, ideal with meat and cheese.

Nobile di Montepulciano
Dry red wine with garnet shades when mature. Excellent with pasta, meats and game sauces.

Chanti Classico
An intense, warm, soft, dry red wine made of Sangiovese grapes. The best companion for Bistecca alla Fiorentina.

Bogheri
Superb Tuscan deep red wine with purple reflections, soft warm with a velvety taste, great with hard aged cheese and roasted or boiled meat.

Vernaccia
The most well-known white wine of the area with crispy taste and refreshing flavours. Ideal for a hot summers day.

Vin Santo
A sweet white wine produced by grapes which are dried for months. The drying period affects the sweetness of the wine. Suitable for desserts, traditionally served with Cantuccini.

Malvasia
A crispy dry white wine with a district note of apple and pear
