Tuscany is not only the cradle of the Italian Renaissance but a fascinating region with so many areas, cities, towns, and villages that should be visited and explored.

Our introduction starts with…

Chianti the famous and long-lasting wine region of Tuscany is an invaluable treasure for every traveler interested in discovering the food and wine culture of the region.

It extends between Florence and Siena and covers the entire area between the two cities.

To the east, it goes as far as Valdarno, and to the west to Val d’Elsa. At Chianti, you will find a unique landscape, with green, rolling hills covered by vast fields of vineyards and olive groves.

While in the area you can consider a visit to Tenuta Casanova for an unforgettable taste of true Tuscan Hospitality.

Then move on to…

Maremma Toscana and its National Park are surely the lands of surprises. Maremma Toscana is located between Livorno and Grosseto.

This is where the Saturnia Thermal Springs are found.

The south of Maremma is protected by the National Park.

Maremma is most definitely the ideal destination for lovers of history and travelers fascinated by medieval villages.

And we would never neglect…

The islands of Elba, Giglio, Capraia, Montecristo, Pianosa, Gorgona, and Giannutri; are 7 islands that make up the beautiful Tuscan Archipelago!

Elba is the most famous of the 7 islands and is known to the world as the place of exile for Napoleon.

But as far as cities, towns, and villages here we go…

Florence is, of course, on top of all lists. Built on both sides of the Arno River, this is the capital of Tuscany.

Renowned because of the Renaissance and not only.

And when in Pisa you must visit the Renaissance squares, and admire the Romanesque buildings.

Siscover the picturesque Campo Dei Miracoli, and go to the Cathedral and the historic center with its medieval imprint.

Lucca

Lucca is another must. Its medieval walls are standing proudly to this day.

Livorno

The city and port of Livorno do deserve to be explored even if many of the travel books and guides do not include it as a place to visit in Tuscany.

This town is too, rich in history. And when in Livorno go to Mascagni Terrace at the time of sunset.

Rumour has it that is one of the best in the world.
