1 – Belém Tower

The first spot on the list is the Belém Tower, probably one of the most famous landmarks in Lisbon. This medieval tower looks great on photos at any time of the day, and it makes for different pictures, too. Go at low tide and you’ll be able to get close or go at high-tide and you’ll have a picture of the tower surrounded by water. And you can even go inside the tower, and climb the top for a great view of the Tagus river.

2 – Ascensor da Bica

Ascensor da Bica – Best photo spot in Lisbon according to KEVMRC
Looking to capture the iconic Lisbon yellow trams? A great spot for that is the Elevador da Bica. In this narrow, steep street, you’ll find the yellow funicular that you’re looking for. Go to the top of the street for a great photo of the tram with the river in the background.

3 – Santa Justa Lift
The Santa Justa Lift, or Elevador de Santa Justa, is a perfect photo spot with many photo opportunities. You can either go in the street right in front of the lift, to photograph the tall tower in the middle of the narrow street; or you can take the lift to go all the way up, where you’ll have a great view over the Lisbon skyline.

4 – Miradouro das Portas do Sol

Located in Lisbon city centre, the Miradouro das Portas do Sol (miradouro is Portuguese for viewpoint) offers an unobstructed view over the Alfama District. You’ll see the National Pantheon and the Church of São Vicente of Fora.

5- Lisbon Cathedral
The Lisbon Cathedral, or Sé de Lisboa, is a great photo spot. Whether you’re photographing it from the outside, with the traditional yellow tram passing in front of it, or taking photos from the inside, you will undoubtedly have nice photos to show!

6 – Arco da Rua Augusta
Our 6th spot is the Arco da Rua Augusta, for 2 reasons. First, this triumphal arch at the end of the Augusta street is absolutely magnificent, and you’ll get great photos standing in front of it. And second, you can actually go inside the arch and all the way to the top! From up there, you’ll have a stunning view over the Praça do Comércio, one of Lisbon most famous squares.

7- The Secret Pink Street
You might have seen photos of this spot on Instagram before: it’s a very cool street, painted with pink, and with yellow walls. Definitely a great photo spot!

8 – Panteão Nacional
The Panteão Nacional, or National Pantheon, is the resting place for many national celebrities. It’s also a magnificent building in the Alfama district, that makes for a great photo spot. I recommend actually going inside, you’ll be blown away by all the beauty of the interior! And don’t forget to take the stairs to go all the way up, on top of the Pantheon, where you’ll have a beautiful view over the Alfama district and the river.

9 – Miradouro da Senhora do Monte
The second viewpoint in our list, which offers a different view from the first. The miradouro da Senhora do Monte is located on a hill, and it’s the highest point in the neighbourhood. As such, you’ll be able to see the whole city in front of you, all the way to the Ponte 25 Abril and the Cristo Rei.

The last photography spot in Lisbon of this list is the Cristo Rei or National Sanctuary of Christ the King. First, being in front of the Christ statue makes for a great photo. And second, climbing to the top of the statue offers the absolute best view of the 25 de Abril bridge, the famous red suspension bridge of Lisbon.
