Ernest Hemingway once said that “There are only two places in the world where we can live happy: at home and in Paris”. There is no way that I could ever contradict his quote.
Paris is the city of Light, the city of art, culture, history, style, and haute couture! Paris is also the city of life! Wonderful inspiring life!
And since we all know or have visited the important sights of this city like the Louvre, the Eifel Tower, the Notre Dame, the Versailles, the Musée d’Orsay, the Pantheon and so on…
I have decided to introduce you to my favorite Parisian spots.
Do you have doubts about visiting the Palace of Versailles when visiting Paris?
Tour Maine-Montparnasse
So here we go. Start your day with a typical French Breakfast at Tour Maine-Montparnasse.
From here you can also enjoy magnificent views of the Tour Eiffel, the Notre Dame, the Pantheon and so much more.
Enjoying the views of Paris from the top of the 210-meter skyscraper is hard to forget!
With Breakfast done and hundreds of images captured, it is time to move on to my next favorite spot.
Promenade des Berges de la Seine
A walk in the Promenade des Berges de la Seine! My place of joy and relaxation.
I still can’t believe that, not so many years ago, this was a fully operational highway used by thousands of vehicles day in and day out.
Today, though, is a place that is worthy not only of your attention but your time as well.
At the Promenade des Berges de la Seine, you can enjoy a walk by the river.
Explore the 5 floating gardens where you can sit on one of the benches and read your book or just talk about Paris.
Visit the open art exhibitions that usually take place.
Check out possible locations and facilities for your next special event in one of the modernized cargo containers with beautiful glass windows.
Les Deux Magots
Having completed this refreshing wandering you must be ready to create a “sweet” Parisian memory. I know that I always am.
So, if you are too, fond of places that not only have great coffee and desserts but also lots of memoirs then off we go to the historic café Les Deux Magots.
Honestly, no matter how often I come to Les Deux Magots, by the time I find the right spot to sit, I always forget about the feast of the palate that their éclair and their Paris-Brest offer, and let my thoughts travel.
I always try to imagine where Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, and Simon de Beauvoir were sitting. What they would have ordered at the time, and most of all what they would be talking about with their companions or friends…
But time is valuable, and maybe short if you are in Paris for just a day, then you should move on to my next favorite place.
Cemetery of Père Lachaise
Some may find it “creepy,” but for me, it is a must-see.
And this is the Cemetery of Père Lachaise on Boulevard de Ménilmontant, where you will have the chance to pay your respects to the burial places of famous people like Moliere, Frederic Chopin, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison, just to name a few.
Needless to say, architecture dominates events here.
Montmartre
To end the day in a perfect mood, the last place I have chosen to propose is a visit to Paris’s matchless hill. The Montmartre! Known to all, I am sure!
Foodies
As for lunch, dinner, or just a snack, please do something utterly Parisian!
Visit a fromagerie and enjoy a tasting of various cheeses, accompanied by a glass of French wine and some fresh bread. Honestly,
I must urge you not leave Paris without experiencing the delights of French cuisine!
