Another jewel of the Aegean Sea, the island of Astypalaia belongs to the Dodecanese but at the same time is the closest island to the Cyclades so it widely benefits from influences from both regions that are seen everywhere including the white buildings with the colourful shades that are part of the trademark of the Cyclades.

With a significant historical heritage and a plethora of natural beauties accompanied by locals that are extremely welcoming, Astypalaia is indeed the place to visit at any time between April and October.

Astypalaia is definitely an off the beaten path Greek destination but at the same time is one of the favourites for Greeks, Italians and Northen Europeans that choose to spend their full summer holidays.

And for the lovers of the sea, the must go to places are Livadi, Maltezana, Pera Giallos, Ble Limanaki, Agios Vassilikos, Vai, Schinontas and Agreidi.
