Do you have friends in any of the Mediterranean countries that you would like to wish them Merry Christmas in their own language? Are you travelling in the Med during Christmas? If so here is the local version of Merry Christmas in certain countries that celebrate Christmas fully or partially.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina – Sretan Božić
In Croatia – Sretan Božić
In Cyprus – Καλά Χριστούγεννα
In France – Joyeux Noel
in Greece – Καλά Χριστούγεννα
In Italy – Buon Natale
In Malta – Il-Milied it-Tajjeb
In Montenegro – Христос се роди
In Slovenia – Vesel božič
In Spain – Feliz Navidad
Surely, you noticed that not all the Mediterranean countries are included and that is because Christmas is not celebrated everywhere. So if you do have friends in Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria and so on it would be best to use the safe phrase of “Happy Holidays”!
