How to Get to Trapani
Trapani benefits from a great location on the western coast of Sicily and is easily accessible by various means of transportation.
If you’re flying from another country or region, the closest airport is Vincenzo Florio Airport in Trapani. It is served by several low-cost airlines that connect Trapani to different European cities.
Another option is to fly into Falcone-Borsellino Airport in Palermo, which is about 100 km away from Trapani. From there, you can rent a car, take a bus, or take a train to Trapani.
If you prefer traveling by sea, you can take a ferry from Naples or Genoa to Palermo and then rent a car or take a bus or train to Trapani. There are also ferry connections from Cagliari, Tunis, and Pantelleria.
For those already in Sicily, you can take a train or a bus from various cities to Trapani. The train station is located in the city center, while the bus station is located just outside the historic center.
Once you arrive in Trapani, you can easily get around by walking, biking, or taking public transportation. Taxis are also available, but they can be pretty expensive. It is also worth considering renting a car if you plan on exploring the surrounding areas.
