Amazed by the number of messages we get every day from people visiting Greece, we could not avoid noticing the fact that in the years that we are online a day has not gone by without receiving a message that is all about Santorini.
A Greek destination that is high in the lists of “Places I Must See” of many people around the globe… And who can blame them… Santorini is unique!
Here are some Q&As that can be of some help…
Q: How many days should I stay in Santorini?
A: Minimum two nights and three days is our recommendation considering that there will be a loss of time during travel…
Q: What is there to see and do other than what we see in the pics?
A: Plenty… The Old & Nea Kameni on a boat trip, the excavations of Akrotiri, the villages by the seaside like Kamari, Monolithos, Imerovigli then Perissa, Perivolos and the list goes on.
Q: I travel with my family and I cannot find a hotel that accepts families… Why my children aren’t welcome in the Caldera Hotels? This is where I want to stay…
A: Please read our relevant article “Santorini with My Family and Younger Children“
Q: What is there to do for families?
A: Apart from the sightseeing you can spend time on the beach and relax. Have some quality time!
Q: Where is the best beach?
A: Red and White beaches are amongst our favourites. We also love Monolithos and enjoy Kamari.
Q: Where can I enjoy the best sunset?
A: Everyone says in Oia. We also like the sunset from Fira, the capital town of the island.
Q: Which are the less touristy places?
A: Hmmm… A right answer to this question does not exist. The only thing we can say is, that if you choose early in Spring or late in Autumn then everything will seem like lots less touristy.

During a recent visit, we re-discovered a beautiful place to stay in Oia and we do recommend Katharos Pool Villas without any hesitation especially because of its extremely hospitable owners…
