The island of Lefkada is well known for its abundance of unique and marvellous beaches that have been named amongst the best in the world. So lovers of the sea and the Caribbean like scenery head every summer to Lefkada to enjoy these beauties.
We have travelled to this magnificent Greek Island a lot and decided to share a list of a few that worth your attention if you do not intend to spend all your days at Egremni or Porto Katsiki.
Milos Beach (West Coast): Reachable by boat from Agias Nilitas.
Pefkoulia Beach (Northwest): Very nice beach, not overcrowded, not sandy but with small pebbles.
Mikros Gialos (South and slightly East): Very picturesque pebble beach with crystal waters on southern Lefkada.
Ammoussa Beach (South): Small and calm.
Agiofilli Beach (South): After visiting Porto Katsiki, you should visit Agiofili Beach with its crystal clear waters. The easiest way to get there is with the small boat service which runs from the village of Vassiliki hourly.
Kalamitsi Beach (West): Loved swimming between the boulders!
Kavalikefta Beach (West)
Agios Ioannis Beach (Lefkada Town)
Avali Beach (West): Like the Caribbean!!Amazing little place. Very difficult to get to…but an idyll once you arrive. Great secluded beach far from the crowds!
Agios Nikitas Beach (SouthEast)
Desimi Beach (Southeast): At first glance, it looks like nothing much but after you move to the right it’s pretty beautiful!
Mili Beach (In the Town)
Megali Petra Beach (West): The beach is somewhat similar to Mylos and Kathisma, medium-sized, with both sand and rocks and the mesmerizing blue water typical to this part of the island. Being less popular than its neighbouring beaches, it feels a bit wild and secluded.
Gyra Beach (In the Town): Gyra is a beach just outside of Lefkada town and is a perfect—long beach with small pebbles, no big waves and is ideal for kids.
Tsoukalades Beach (North)
