Since 2015 that opened its doors to welcome Corfiots and travellers alike, La Tavola Calda has been by far our favourite Italian restaurant in Corfu not only for its true Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients imported almost on a daily basis form neighbouring to Corfu Island, Italy, but also because of the true Neapolitan hospitality and flair that is a perfect match to the spirit of Corfu.
Found by chance while wandering around the kantounia of Old Corfu Town on Good Friday of 2015, La Tavola Calda seemed, and still does, somehow tucked away but in reality enjoys a much-privileged location just steps away from the most important areas of the town that are the big piazza that the locals call Spianada and the worldwide famous Liston.
Small and cosy, with only very few tables inside and even fewer in the exterior this delightful Italian Restaurant seems to be one of the best-kept secrets on the island.
The menu nothing but Southern Italian. Antipasti, pasta, risotti, secondi and of course dolci! All and each, a feast for the palate made with love and pride by Chef Nino Frezza.
The service is impeccable! Attentive but discrete and very polite.
La Tavola Calda is open all year long.
Making a reservation is highly recommended mainly because of the restaurant’s size.
