Tu ca giri lu munnu
di stranizzi ti maravigghi,
non furiari cchiù tunnu
ca di li ciuri truvasti li gigghi.
Eti ccà ca tu ha veniri,
nta la terra du suli e du mari,
unni lu to disiu ava a cadiri
unni poi voi sempri turnari.
Tra la frischizza di gelsumini
e lu caluri di lu focu,
di lu vinu li catini
e di quietu e santu locu.
Chistu è lu mari di piscaturi
di cu cecca a paci e lu rizzettu,
patria avi statu di pinsaturi
di omini boni cu cori n’pettu.

qui trovi i boccioli del fiore piu bello
E’ qui che devi venire
Nella terra del sole e del mare

il calore del fuoco,
i tinelli di vino
è di pace santo luogo.
Qui vi è il mare di grandi pescatori
e di chi cerca la serenità
E’ stata patria di pensatori

You who travel the world
And you are marvelled by the strangeness

here you will find the most beautiful flower buds
Here is where you have to come
In the land of the sun and the sea
is where you must “drop” your desire
here is where you always want to return
Among the freshness of jasmine
the heat of the fire,
the dinette of wine
it is a divine place.
Here is the sea of great fishermen
and of those looking for serenity
It was home to thinkers
of good men with “heart in the chest”.
