HORRAON Model Olive Grove! Backstage Moments during the Installation of the Telemetric Station!

When a passion for technology is applied to agriculture, incredible things may happen.

In recent years, everyone, even farmers, has shifted their focus to modern technology.

But cultivating a biodynamic olive grove with the help of technology is quite a first at least in this part of the world.

Being in Greece we have the privilege and the pleasure of being able to enjoy the wonders that happen around us.

And not so long ago, we were stunned to witness the installation of a Telemetric Station in a Model Olive Grove set below the ancient site of Horraon in the region of Epirus in Greece.

Horraon Model Olive Grove is named after the ancient site and it is indeed a model cultivation.

This is the one and only olive orchard in the wider area where its owners have never used any kind of chemicals or interfered with the biodiversity.

Their production of extra virgin olive oil was just for the consumption of family and friends.

However, everybody who had the chance to taste this olive oil would always come back for more.

The current generation that has taken over, has decided to further conserve nature’s bounty by investing in biodynamic olive tree farming.

With the goal of producing early harvest extra virgin olive oil of even higher quality than their forefathers.

The installation of this Telemetric Station was one of the steps forward.

And it was fun to be there and be part of what took place.
